RDP Clipboard Anchor v1.2 is here! The central theme of this update is internationalization (i18n) — we've aligned the app, Store assets, and website documentation across 10 languages, so RDP users worldwide can use the app in their native language.
v1.2.0: Building the Multi-Language Foundation
v1.2.0 laid the groundwork for full internationalization, adding three new languages in the first batch:
- Traditional Chinese (zh-Hant)
- Japanese (ja)
- German (de)
Beyond translating UI strings, we made several adaptations to ensure a consistent experience across all languages:
- Adaptive window width: Text length varies significantly between languages (German is typically ~30% longer than English), so the main window automatically adjusts its width based on the current language to prevent text clipping.
- Toast notification dark mode fix: Fixed an issue where toast notification backgrounds appeared semi-transparent in dark mode — they now render correctly in both light and dark themes.
v1.2.5: Expanding to Ten Languages
v1.2.5 is a much larger language expansion, adding five more languages:
- French (fr)
- Spanish (es)
- Portuguese (pt)
- Russian (ru)
- Korean (ko)
RDP Clipboard Anchor now supports 10 languages in total (including existing English and Simplified Chinese), covering the major RDP user communities worldwide.
We also polished several localization details:
- Localized Store pricing: Instead of a hardcoded "$4.99", the app now fetches the user's local price via the Microsoft Store API (e.g., "€3,99", "¥550").
- Locale-aware number formatting: File size display now respects each language's conventions — English shows "1.5 MB", while French/German show "1,5 MB".
- Localized file size units: All resource files now include localized strings for B, KB, MB, and GB.
- Auto-expanding button widths: License dialog buttons now automatically expand to fit longer translated text, preventing truncation in languages like Spanish or French.
