1. Data Collection & Processing

EnvStudio ("the Application") is a local environment variable management tool for Windows.

  • Registry Access: The Application reads and writes Windows registry keys for User and System environment variables. System-level changes require administrator elevation via User Account Control (UAC).
  • Local Storage: Profile data, snapshots, and application settings are stored locally on your device. The Application never uploads or transmits this data to any remote server or third party.
  • Usage Statistics: The Application does not collect any usage statistics, analytics, or telemetry data.

2. Internet Access

The Application does not require internet access for its core functionality. Internet access may only be used for:

  • Querying your product license status via the official Microsoft Store API.
  • Opening external links (e.g., GitHub issue tracker, documentation) when you click links in the About page.
  • Future in-app purchase (IAP) sponsorship functionality, if and when implemented.

3. Third-Party Services

The Application does not use any third-party analytics, advertising services, or tracking SDKs. Software licensing relies solely on the Microsoft Store's secure infrastructure.

4. Data Security

All environment variable data is processed and stored locally on your device. The Application does not transmit any data over the network.
